These portraits have been painted via Instagram or video calls during the pandemic. Some were private commissions.

This series began with Resting Face (2020), a portrait that was exhibited at the International Anthony Burgess Foundation in March 2020. The day after the exhibition, it became clear that the UK would soon enter a lockdown. This series of self-portraits has developed since, although other models have been painted via Instagram Live and video calls.
