CHRISTMAS ALBUM: Anna has been commissioned by Voices of Hope (2016 Choir of the Year) for their North East Christmas Album, which will be released in December 2018.



UK SONGWRITING CONTEST: Anna's folk song Winds of Iona has so far reached the Semi-Finals of the UK Songwriting Contest 2018.



PSAPPHA: Anna has been selected for Psappha's 'Composing for Eastern European Folk Instrument' scheme and will be writing a piece for Dov Goldberg.



SOUND SCOTLAND: Anna has been co-commissioned by Nordic Viola and Sound Scotland to write a new piece for Sound Festival 2018. Read more here and buy tickets here.



GDST TRAILBLAZER 2018: Anna was nominated alongside Afua Hirsch and Dame Rosemary Squire for GDST Alumna of the Year 2018, and subsequently won the Trailblazer Award for her career as a composer so far. Find out more here.



STREETWISE OPERA: Anna was commissioned to write music for Streetwise Opera's 15th Anniversary production 'Tell Me the Truth About Love' at the Sage Gateshead in April 2018. You can read the 4 star review in the Guardian here.



ICELAND TOUR: The Sunday Boys premiered Anna's pieces Dust and 1967 in the Red House in Iceland in March. Find out more here.



BBC RADIO 3 LATE JUNCTION: Anna's miniature The Impossible Piano was played on Late Junction on Thursday the 19th January 2018, you can listen again here.



RSNO: The Royal Scottish National Orchestra runs a Composers' Hub scheme each year. Anna was one of five composers to write for the orchestra in 2017/18. Find out more here.



ADOPT A COMPOSER: Anna was 'adopted' by Merchant Sinfonia for the 2017/18 'Adopt a Composer' scheme which pairs amateur ensembles with emerging composers. Adopt a Composer is run by Making Music in partnership with Sound and Music, in association with BBC Radio 3, and funded by PRS Foundation and the Philip and Dorothy Green Music Trust.
